Bingo Love Reaches Over $57k!
It’s been about two weeks since the Bingo Love Kickstarter ended and I’m still in disbelief that people have invested in something I created. Seriously, my mind is blown.
Bingo Love Proves that Diversity in Comics DOES Sell
This Bingo Love comic project has really been a dream come true. I never ever thought that something I created, would receive so much coverage. I mean my Black Queer romance comic is on Huffington Post, New Now Next, The Root and a slew of other sites! Our Kickstarter is currently over 200% its initial goal!
Behold! The Prism Comics Grant Winner
Last month I applied for the Queer Press Grant for the Bingo Love Comic, and last night at Wonder Con the winner was announced.
Next Up: Bingo Love
Bingo Love is my latest upcoming project that I’m working on with Jem & The Misfits artist, Jenn St-Onge, colorist, Joy San, letterer, Cardinal Rae, with Erica Schultz (Charmed) as the editor.
Femme Magnifique
Last month I received the invite of all invites from the incomparable Shelly Bond. Shelly Bond has, I believe, 900 titles under her editing belt. She’s a badmamajamma and she reached out to lil ole me to be apart of her Femme Magnifique project.
So…About #BlackComicsMonth
It’s February which means I do a huge spotlight on Black comic creators for #BlackComicsMonth, except this year I decided that I’m not going to do it. #BlackComicsMonth started a few years ago and it’s received so much notoriety and has done amazing things for Black comic creators and I’m extremely proud of the movement.
